Techniques & approach

My approach to massage therapy is holistic, intuitive, and constantly evolving. I regularly engage in training, not only to diversify my skills and maintain my creativity but also to nurture my personal growth, develop body awareness, and deepen my understanding of movement.

Based on your therapeutic needs and objectives for each session, I often blend several techniques paying special attention to calming the nervous system, a foundation for inducing profound changes in both the body and the mind.

My intent is to help you reconnect with your sensations and your body as a whole.

Swedish massage is the most popular oil-based technique and involves long, flowing strokes that can be adjusted in pace and depth to suit the client’s needs. Swedish massage helps improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, enhance flexibility, and promote deep relaxation.

Swedish Massage

Fasciatherapy

This is a powerful technique that relies on the body's natural self-regulation abilities and can address chronic pain, postural issues, and emotional blockages, offering a holistic approach that considers both physical and psychological aspects.

Scar tissues work after a surgery (minimum of 6 weeks)

Fasciatherapy is a slow, gentle, and non-invasive method derived from “kinésithérapie” and osteopathy, focusing on the fascia, thin membranes that connect and envelop the body’s structures. Through dialogue, subtle movements, light pressure, micro-movements, and stretches, it aims to release accumulated tension in the tissues.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a slow and deep technique practiced without oil to effectively grip and stretch the tissues, targeting deeper layers of muscles and fascia. In some cases, shea butter may be applied to enhance tissue manipulation. This approach often incorporates myofascial techniques to release tension, improve mobility, and alleviate chronic pain.

Thaï Massage with Oil

Thai massage with oil is a holistic technique known for its calming, almost meditative quality, making it ideal for stress relief and deep relaxation.

Unlike classic Thai massage (with clothing, on a mat), which focuses on deep pressure, stretching, and acupressure, the oil-based version is given on a table and uses gentle, gliding strokes along with rhythmic compression to relieve muscle tension and promote relaxation. The therapist works along the body’s energy lines (sen), combining long, fluid movements with targeted acupressure points (marmas) to improve circulation, flexibility, and emotional well-being.

This is an enveloping massage that typically involves applying warm oil with essential oils to enhance the overall experience. However, please note that I only use essential oils for this technique, not warm oil for practicality.

Polarity Therapy

I integrate principles and techniques of polarity into some of my sessions.

Polarity is an energetic mind-body technique practiced over clothing that aims at harmonizing the vital energy already present in the body, balancing positive, negative, and neutral poles. It is based on the five Ayurvedic elements (ether, air, fire, water, and earth) and also draws on Chinese and Hermetic (Egyptian) medicine principles.

This technique can allow deep relaxation in the recipient on physical, nervous, and emotional levels.

Prenatal Massage

I support women during their pregnancies starting at their 13th week.

Massage therapy during pregnancy helps alleviate physical discomfort like back pain, reduce swelling, and ease muscle tension. It also enhances relaxation, supports better circulation and can help manage stress and anxiety contributing to overall well-being.

When the body speaks, it’s often because the mind has been silenced. Our task is to listen and understand what it’s trying to tell us.
